Description

For those aren't just aspiring writers, but writers that have had very little experience. :meow:

For me, I've been writing for the past 8 years, and have only had 2 Creative Writing classes. Those two classes have definitely helped me, but I seem to have learned more by re-reading and studying my favorite authors' writing styles and themes. That method has improved my vocabulary, my sense in literary elements, my style, etc.....Just by re-reading their books and actually "reading between the lines."
Although, my grammar needs a bit more work...:paranoid:

I write both contemporary fiction and a tad bit of poetry. Even my mom's a poet. :dummy:
I guess you could say that creative-writing is in our blood. She's the poet, while I'm the story-writer. :giggle:

Unfortunately, I can't write fanfiction if my life depended on it. I have a hard time writing other people's stories or characters. :iconwhatdaplz:
I think it's because those stories and characters do not belong to me...They're not my babies. They're someone else's babies and I feel uncomfortable messing with them. It feels like I'm kidnapping their characters for my own literary pleasure and that doesn't feel right. :saddummy:

I taught myself how to write. You learn as you keep doing it. I recently took a couple British Literature classes, and I feel a tremendous sense of improvement in my language skills from reading many classical works. But simply reading a lot helps a lot. 8D
