This doesn't apply to the shit some people call "artistic nude"...when it's nothing but a shot of a girl's crotch from the girl's camera-phone, while she's lying on her bed. If you call that "artistic nude," get the fuck out please and take your camwhore, slutty-shit elsewhere. :icongtfoguyplz:

"There is no such thing as artist nude. That is the kind of stuff that will get art taken away."
Someone's actual quote, with the mindset of "PORN IS ILLEGAL AND ARTISTIC NUDE IS PORN AND NOT ART."

Excuse me while I go bash my head against a wall. :stare:

So...By that logic, I've been wasting my tuition-money and 2.5 hours of my Monday/Wednesday afternoons drawing naked people, because it's actually porn, instead of not teaching me to draw human-anatomy well?

Have you been living under a rock all this time? :stare: You just insulted ALL the sculptors and artists from waaaaaaay back, like Michelangelo, who painted and sculpted nude figures, because they saw the nude human body as a work of art itself, not as something obscene.

Nudity doesn't mean porn. The only thing that makes it close to porn were if it were camwhore, pussy-shots like this: [link] [link] [link]
In my opinion, that's borderlining attention-seeking and trying too hard to look sexy. :|

Those are not "artistic nude." Artistic nude is photos or drawings of the human body that show a creative pose, setting, props, lighting, camera-angle, and actually taken with a high-quality camera, not by a cellphone. Photos/drawings like this: [link] (Yes, my OWN drawing of a nude model from last year's figure-drawing class. Oh my, look how pornographic that is. :|) [link] [link] [link] [link]
These look a lot more "artistic" than the pussy-shots above.

Here's a reality-check for those with the mindset that nudity = porn, and looking to be an artist as a profession:

You're going to end up drawing naked people in college.

Even if you're not going to be drawing people, it's pretty much mandatory for most art-majors. Hell, professional artists still take figure-drawing sessions even in their studios. [link] [link] [link]
...So you might as well get used to it while you still can. Because I can guarantee you're going to be called out by the professor, not to mention insulting the model, for believing that nudity is porn.
I'm an animation student. Even I have to take figure-drawing classes and draw nude models. Because in order to design characters for animation, you first have to learn how the human body moves under all that clothing.

And for the love of god, please don't go around claiming your religion doesn't allow porn. :stare: Not everyone believes in your religion, you know.
