Most of social media is blowing up over Carrie Fisher's and her mother's deaths within the last few days. You get people who are upset and devastated by those losses...But you also get a few assholes who go "B-BUT WHAT ABOUT ALEPPO? AND WHAT ABOUT ALL THE PEOPLE YOUR GOVERNMENT HAS KILLED???"

Yes, people have it much worse somewhere in the world. With the way this year has been going, everyone has had it bad or worse. But just because we're only focusing one tragic event doesn't mean we don't give a shit about the other terrible things that are going on. Or do you go to funerals and say "B-BUT WHAT ABOUT THE STARVING PEOPLE IN AFRICA???"

I'm not my government. I'm not responsible for the actions of my government. If you don't like what my government does, then go complain to my government. If you can get them to listen to you. I mean, they hardly listen to us or give a shit about us anyway.
