EDIT: Some of you need to learn that there's a huge difference in not having an opinion on someone's race/being disinterested about someone's race...and downright fucking HATING someone's race. Being indifferent about someone's race ≠ hating someone's race.

I don't give a shit what your skin color is. As long as you're human and you don't harass me, injure me, or murder me, I'm okay with you. That's why I don't see race. Hell, I don't give a shit what gender you are either. That's not "erasure." Erasure would be disbelief in it, hating it, or shunning it. I don't pretend it doesn't exist.  I know your skin-color, I can see it, I'm not fucking blind (at least not completely).
...But I just don't see why I need to care about your skin-color.

You're black? Cool.
You're Asian? Cool.
You're brown? Cool.

You still look perfectly human to me and that's the only trait that really matters. Being different is a stupid, fucking petty reason to hate someone. Grump You could have bright neon blue for a skin-color and I still wouldn't give a fuck. Well...I might be very curious/amazed as to how/why you have that skin-color because you'd be the first one I've seen with that color of skin, but I wouldn't hate you for having it.
I don't seem to have a lot of stupid prejudices like that; I'm much more likely to be curious about these things than hateful. I think it's because I was fortunate enough to grow up in a very tolerant/open-minded household and I grew up around people of many backgrounds, ethnicities, sexualities, etc. that traits like different skin-colors or sexualities don't faze me.

It's why I never understood white supremacists, nazis, racists, etc. Someone could be black, but so fucking what? Why does someone's different skin-color make you think yours/ours is special? It's just a skin-color. It's different because of the different level(s) of melanin they have in their skin-pigment and the region they grew up in or their ancestors grew up in. It's just biology.

The only time these things like your race, sexuality, gender etc should matter is if you're taking a survey, the census, or filling out some other personal data.

In the words of Dr. Seuss's "Horton:"

"A person is a person, no matter how small."

Or in this case, "a person is a person," no matter what the fuck you look like, what you have between your legs, what your identity is, where you're from, or who you're attracted to. The only trait that matters to me is being human.
