Plot-twists are fun.

My boyfriend and I, being fantasy writers, love to role-play with our characters. It helps us practice our storytelling, plot-development, and even character-development; he once managed to give me a great idea for one of my characters and by using it in the role-play, I loved the idea so much, I incorporated it into my own story and used the idea as a basis of a certain ability for my character. And we've had our giant role-play that's been going on since we met on here.

But one of my favorite things about our role-play is that we love to throw in random plot-twists to screw things up and make the story more interesting. Sometimes the role-play lags and we have writers' block, so depending on the current scene we're in, one of us will get an epiphany and throw in some random conflict or situation to spice up the action and the story. It's really quite fun to be spontaneous and unpredictable in our stories!
