"Selfie week," inspired by Tumblr's earlier "# blackout" movement. As soon as this was created, Tumblr lost its shit. As usual. "HOW DARE U INCLUDE EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY WHITES AND MEN!!1! HOW OFFENSIVE!!1!!"

...I was dumbfounded. Someone came up with the beautiful idea of showing appreciation for everyone, no matter what their skin color, gender, or sexuality was...And she gets shit for it. Fucking Tumblr, I swear...She's not even white herself, and they're hating her for even daring to include whites and men in her appreciation week. She continues to state that it was never to overshadow "blackout," but simply something similar to it that included everyone under the sun...Not just black people.

So today was "whiteselfieday," and just as I expected, I got a lot of shit today from bigots for participating by posting my crappy-ass seflies. Apparently, I'm not allowed to be proud of my own skin, which I cannot change, and I'm "racist" for mentioning an interesting fact (that I found out years ago) about having a Blackfoot great-great-grandmother on my dad's side.

Ever since I got up today, I've been laughing my ass off. I saw this happening several days before and just like fucking clockwork, Tumblr lost its shit again today. Hypocritical bigot after bigot came at me today, full of piss and vinegar...All because I posted selfies. One even misread (or tried to put words in my mouth) my post, claiming that I said I was Native American...Another was just downright fucking racist. "Whites have no conscience," "you have no right to speak to me (insert racial insult here)" "can someone explain why this fresh piece of bird-shit is talking to me," etc...That one was a real piece of work.

...Yeah, "loving and accepting community that promotes equality for everyone," my fucking ass. I'll believe that when pigs fly and zombies walk the earth.
