Description

[EDIT:] Guys, would it kill you to READ THE DESCRIPTION before deciding to be offended? :/ If you still seem to be misunderstanding it, just ask me nicely to clarify it more. Not get all huffy at me.

And it's not my fault you're offended. I have every right to speak my opinion, whether it offends you or not. :/ So don't whine at me for "disrespecting" you with my stamp. Besides, respect is earned, not given out freely; you can't disrespect someone you've never talked to and they didn't earn your respect. :/

--------
...Not bathroom photos of yourself in the mirror with an iPhone. :|

It really drives me nuts when I find someone with entire gallery full of photos of themselves, with no artistic value whatsoever, and no actual art.

What part of deviantART did you not get? :|
If you're going to be on an art-site, then post art.
If you're not artistic, that's fine. You can be an art-appreciator too.

But don't have a gallery full of yourself. And I mean, LITERALLY full of yourself. It's boring, vain, and it makes you look like an attention-seeker.

--We don't care what you look like.
--We don't care how curvy you are.
--We don't care how big your boobs are.
--We don't care what you're wearing.
--We don't care how much make-up (or lack of it) you're wearing.
--That "Duckface" some girls do? That doesn't look cute, you know. It makes you look retarded.

"But photography is art!"
I wholeheartedly agree. I do a bit of photography on the side when I have the chance to capture Mother Nature's beauty.
But posting pictures of yourself in your bedroom/bathroom with a bad-quality camera and no creative/artistic effort (and not even using photo-editing software) to them is rather boring, tasteless, and overused. Many people are annoyed by such photos. Those types of photos belong on Facebook, Myspace, Tumblr, etc.

...Unless you're posting pictures for your ID picture, you're cosplaying (which is fine...I like looking at some of your costumes), or you're actually doing artistic nudity. And I mean THIS "artistic nudity:" [link] <--That is a hell of a lot more artistic than an entire gallery full of yourself. "Artistic Nudity" is not shots of your half-naked (or fully naked) self in a bathroom-mirror, taken by your iPhone.

If you're just here to post photos of yourself with no artistic efforts, then you shouldn't be here. (I'm serious. You shouldn't. It's a waste of time, IMHO.)
OR
At least add more artistic efforts to your pictures. Interesting backgrounds (not your bathroom or bedroom), take photos at interesting angles (looking down, looking up, to the side, from below, etc.), lighting (dim light, bright light, color light), atmosphere (To portray the emotions of the photo), etc...

Not just "LOOK AT ME!! AM PRETTEH!! :iconspotlightplz:" That's just as boring as the lectures I have to sit through in college. :|

I love seeing inspirational photos, photos that make me go "Ooooh~" and give you an instafave. Pictures of yourself in your bathroom-mirror with your iPhone doing the "Duckface" instantly turn me off from your photo and annoy me to no end. :smoking:

So please...If you're going to be here posting photos, add some artistic quality to them. This is an art-site after all.
