[EDIT:] Please don't bring up God or other religious conversations on here.
Freedom of Speech, I know. But in all honesty, this has NOTHING to do with any religion or God, so it's pointless. Besides, I've heard enough of the religious viewpoint on homosexuality and it's getting annoying. I already know what the 3000-year-old book says on homosexuality. You don't need to repeat what the Bible says to me...I've studied it for the past 12 years while I was in parochial schools, okay? It's been written over and interpreted way too many times that I don't think anyone knows its true lessons anymore.

So please keep your religious comments to yourself and if you want to debate, debate about this stamp. This is about homosexual behaviors in animals. Not on what your religion says about it. If you don't bring it up, I won't have to ask you to take your religious comments elsewhere and we can all have a civilized debate without people getting offended or upset.

I like to have discussions on these things. It's fun and educational. :dummy: Just as long as you stay on topic. :bucktooth:

...And we're actually animals too. We're mammals, but with a higher intellectual capacity.

Animals always follow their natural instinct. They're incapable of making rational decisions or choices because they don't have the intellectual capacity to do so, unlike humans.

Let make clarify this a bit more (someone helped me answer a similar question to this):
Komodo Dragons are known to eat the younger of their kind. This isn't seen as murder for one reason; its part of the animal's natural behavior and instinct to hunt their own kind and most animal species, like the Komodos, can't tell what's right or wrong. Most animals aren't going to stop and think about the consequences of their actions, nor consider if they're right or wrong.

But if a human were to murder someone, it's considered wrong because, as humans, we're a higher intellectual species of primates where we're capable of thinking about our actions and making the decision on whether they're right or wrong. Obviously, murdering another is considered wrong.

The view on homosexuality is based on our religious beliefs, for the most part. That's why many people look at it as wrong and "sinful," because it goes against their beliefs. However, when homosexuality has been seen in the many animal species too, it shows that it's not a choice that can be made and it is, in fact, a natural behavior. Since animals cannot choose for themselves, they go by their mating instincts and mate with whatever member of their species, and sometimes--depending on what their mating instinct attracts them to--their mate is of the same gender. This is why homosexuality has been seen to be a natural instinct in all species, including humans.

In simpler words, it depends on their instincts and their attraction to another animal of their species, just as we as humans are attracted to someone else. This implies that homosexuality is a natural selection. It's not by choice. It all has to do with genetics and species. We're related to primates and some primates practice homosexuality too, like the Bonobo primates.

So how can homosexuality be a choice, when animals are incapable of making rational choices and go by their natural mating instincts?
Try poking holes into that argument. No, really. I'd like to see if anyone can...it'll be interesting in how you refute it.

If animals can be homosexual without question
Why can't humans?
