We book for love or for fun. Pen to book, making its way down the books until it runs out of books to book. We book stories and we book memories, book words, and book history. Books are the stars in the inky black, a giant book-collector that doesn’t book anything. Booked is our little planet of a home in an immense existence. Books are staying up at 6 a.m. to make a deadline. Booked is the good feeling you get when you hear a slight chuckle from the audience during your film’s screening. Books are all of life, and all of life is forever books and it will never cease to be books.

Humans are hypocrites with life. An eye for an eye, or a life for a life. When one human takes a life, other humans take that human’s life in punishment? Or in revenge? A giant scaly beast lazes in his corner, snoozing. That’s all he can do while he waits for prey without using any effort to hunt it. But his neighbor, a smaller scaly beast skirts the edge of her territory, lurking from the open-air to inside a cooled room, back out again and walks a few more laps. Anyone know about applying for a temp work visa to Canada or New Zealand? Or any overseas places looking for creative professionals with a college degree? Because fuck this country. Again. Now that I have fewer rights than a fucking corpse, thanks to SCOTUS taking a gigantic wet shit on the Constitution's "Separation of Church and State" clause today, I'm getting the fuck out on the first job offer I find overseas. Trump and the GOP killed this democracy years ago. That's painfully clear now. We're more like a theocracy or an oligarchy, being ruled by the few. Or in this case, being ruled by a tyrannical minority that wants to shove their religious beliefs onto everyone...Because fuck the First Amendment, I guess.:smoking:

...As if the pandemic didn't kill enough people already. I know this is a month late. It's been chaotic all month long and I kept forgetting to post this until now. Part of me is still kinda reeling from the fact that not only did I survive a pandemic that has already eerily paralleled history but also surpassed the national death toll of the Spanish Flu...But 2 years later, I'm now living through what is almost essentially WWIII, started by a guy who turned out to be worse than Trump. I honestly didn't think that'd be possible. So...Congrats, Putin. You've gone and made that a thing now. Holy. fucking. shit. The needless bloodshed is horrible enough, but I'm also fucking pissed off about how he's basically gaslighting everyone. As if the rest of the world was born yesterday.
